The Challenge
The Rail Staff Awards celebrates excellence across the UK rail industry. In 2025, we returned to film the event once again. The evening moved fast, with multiple award categories, presenters and live entertainment. We needed to capture every winner while showing the energy, pride and sense of community that defines the rail sector.
The Approach
We deployed a two-person crew to cover the full ceremony without disruption. We filmed on Canon R5 cameras, using locked-off 25fps tripod shots for reliability and 4x slow-motion footage on a DJI RS3 gimbal to add movement and impact to key moments.
We also used a dedicated time-lapse setup to capture each award winner posing with their trophy. This created a consistent visual moment for every recipient. Close coordination with the event team ensured we captured all announcements. We also filmed guests, entertainment and the host to complete the story of the evening.
The Result
The Rail Staff Awards 2025 video delivers a polished, engaging record of the event. After minor refinements and sponsor graphics, the Rail Media team approved the final edit. The finished piece highlights achievement across the UK rail industry and demonstrates high-quality event video production at scale.
